Drevo je ekologicky prvotriedne, lebo na v\u00fdrobu vyu\u017e\u00edva slne\u010dn\u00fa energiu. Drevo je najlep\u0161\u00ed pr\u00edrodn\u00fd izol\u00e1tor (\u0161es\u0165kr\u00e1t lep\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e tehla a p\u00e4tn\u00e1s\u0165kr\u00e1t lep\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e bet\u00f3n).
